KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 20, 2024 – DGTA organized the SMEE-Airworthiness Program in collaboration with MAA, RTAF from September 16 to September 20, 2024. The program was co-chaired by the Director General of DGTA, Brigadier General Ruszali bin Zakaria TUDM, and Air Vice Marshal Panit Ponok of MAA, RTAF.

 

The main objective of the SMEE – Airworthiness 2024 Program is to share information and issues related to Technical Airworthiness between DGTA and MAA, RTAF. Additionally, this program aims to finalize the Bilateral Military Airworthiness Recognition (BMAR) between both parties so that the certification handover can be conducted during the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA 25).

 

Among the topics discussed during this program were the Aircraft Certification Process, Maintenance & Training Process, and Aircraft Maintenance Licensing implemented by both parties.
 
 
The close cooperative relationship demonstrated by both parties serves as evidence that Malaysia and Thailand remain committed to maintaining regional peace and further strengthening the already established bilateral relations.
