The AMO certificate submission was successfully officiated by the Director General of DGTA, Brigadier General Ir. Nordin bin Abdul Ghani RMAF to Dato’ Mohd Razali bin Alias, Director of Military Intelligence during event.

The AMO certificate is effective from 20th Sep 2021 to 19th Sep 2024 in performing the maintenance of UAS for MDIO under scope of Organisation Level Maintenance (OLM), Intermediate Level Maintenance (ILM) and Unscheduled Maintenance on Schiebel Camcopter S-100 and CW-25DE.

Squadron UAS, MDIO is an intelligence organisation approved by Directorate General Technical Airworthiness (DGTA). The Sqn is to support intelligence operations by providing UAS platforms. The operation is to collect intelligence information for reporting to commanders, decision makers, intelligence analyst and other consumers.

Squadron UAS, MDIO was awarded with Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) by DGTA for UAS Schiebel Camcopter S-100 on 19 Sep 2018 and currently additional extension scope for UAS CW-25DE.

Besides that, to increase the intelligence capability, Squadron UAS in the process acquisition for the other type of UAS which is Multirotor Hybrid Drone Perimeter 8 from Skyfront Corp, United State.
