DGTA delegation embarks on three day visit to RTAF Military Airworthiness Authority (MAA) for SMEE Airworthiness Meeting. 

The DGTA delegation was led by Director General of DGTA, Brig Gen Ir Nordin bin Abdul Ghani RMAF, Col Ruszali bin Zakaria RMAF, Director of AAMR and two other members.

The visit reflects the importance of both airworthiness authorities showing interest in continuing bilateral engagement to benefit from each other's experiences in various certification domains.

The SMEE Airworthiness Meeting is successfully concluded at Kantary Hills Hotel, Chiangmai, Thailand. The objective of this meeting is to have a preliminary decision about the scope of Bilateral Airworthiness Recognition (BAR) between DGTA, RMAF and Military Airworthiness Authority (MAA), RTAF.

The SMEE Airworthiness Meeting continued with a discussion on the current status of the implementation of Part 145 (Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO)) in DGTA and MAA.
 
In conclusion, both airworthiness authorities mutually agreed on the roadmap/milestones and planning for BAR program in 2023 & 2024.
 
In the respective meeting, Director General of DGTA, Brig Gen Ir Nordin RMAF officially handed over Military Airworthiness Recognition Question Set (MARQ) to Senior Gp Capt Chetta Rangnoi, Deputy Director of MAA.
