On Wednesday, May 24, 2023, a simple but prestigious ceremony took place at LIMA ´23, between the French State Aviation Safety Authority (DSAÉ) and the Directorate General Technical Airworthiness (DGTA). Major General Stephane Virem, Director General of DSAÉ, and Brigadier General Ir Nordin bin Abdul Ghani RMAF, Director General of DGTA had exchanged Bilateral Airworthiness Recognition Certificates, as a result of the bilateral airworthiness recognition activities. The renewal of bilateral airworthiness recognition marks another milestone for both parties, since it was initiated in 2018.

The ceremony was witnessed by General Tan Sri Dato' Sri Mohd Asghar Khan bin Goriman Khan RMAF, Chief of Air Force (RMAF) as the State Airworthiness Authority of Malaysia and His Excellency Axel Cruau, the French Ambassador to Malaysia. Together with them were the Deputy Chief of Air Force (RMAF), Air Operations Commander (RMAF), Air Support Commander (RMAF), Assistant Chief of Staff Engineering (RMAF) and French Defence Attaché to Malaysia.
