AIROD Sdn Bhd was awarded the Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) by DGTA on 14th September 2023 at AIROD Main Head Quarters, Subang.  The award of AMO certification by DGTA is for RMAF VVIP Fixed Wing and Rotary Wing aircraft program, which is maintained by AIROD VVIP Fixed Wing and Rotary Wing departments, located at RMAF Subang Base (No. 2 Squadron).

 

The AMO certificate submission was successfully officiated by the Director General of DGTA, Brigadier General Ir. Nordin bin Abdul Ghani RMAF to Senior Maintenance Manager VVIP Fixed Wing representative, Mej Sahmat bin Md Amin RMAF (rtd) and Senior Maintenance Manager VVIP Rotary Wing, En Mat Zam bin Mat Shah during the event.

 

The AMO certificate for VVIP Fixed Wing is effective from 1st Jan 2023 to 31 Dec 2025 in performing the maintenance of aircraft Global Express BD700 & Falcon 900 for the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) under the scope of Organisation Level Maintenance (OLM), Intermediate Level Maintenance (ILM) and Depot Level Maintenance (DLM).

 

The AMO certificate for VVIP Rotary Wing is effective from 30 May 2023 to 29 May 2026 in performing the maintenance of S-70A-34 Blackhawk for the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) under the scope of Organisation Level Maintenance (OLM) and Intermediate Level Maintenance (ILM).

The maintenance and logistical support are provided at the line (RMAF bases) and specialized services are provided from AIROD main base at Subang, with over twenty-six (26) years of experience in the industry of aircraft maintenance for military and commercial aircraft.

 

AIROD Sdn Bhd has successfully proven its capabilities in managing and implementing contractorization programs for first (OLM), second (ILM), and third-line (DLM) maintenance for the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF). This is reflected in the high serviceability rate of the aircraft under contractorization. The current aircraft under contractorization includes C130, Pilatus PC-7 MK II Training Aircraft, VVIP aircraft, namely S70A-34 Blackhawk helicopter, Global Express BD700, Falcon 900, Beechcraft B200T and Hawk MK108/208. AIROD also maintains helicopters owned by the Fire Fighting and Rescue Department (BOMBA), Mi-17 and Mi-171. The contractorization engagement includes the stationing of manpower off-base for daily inspection and schedule maintenance as well as logistical support. As such, AIROD has established maintenance centers at various RMAF bases such as Alor Setar, Subang, Kuantan, Miri, and Labuan.
