DGTA Malaysia Participates in Airworthiness Conference 2026 in Bangkok
The Directorate General of Technical Airworthiness (DGTA) Malaysia participated in the Airworthiness Conference held from 9–13 February 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand. The conference was hosted by the Military Airworthiness Authority of the Royal Thai Air Force (MAA-RTAF).
The Malaysian delegation was led by Brigadier General Samsuri bin Abu Bakar, RMAF, Director General of DGTA. In his remarks, Brig Gen Samsuri conveyed his appreciation to MAA-RTAF for the invitation and hospitality, and highlighted the importance of regional cooperation in ensuring safe, effective, and sustainable military aviation operations amid evolving technological challenges.
During the conference, representing DGTA Malaysia, Lieutenant Colonel Ir. Rengiah s/o Sinnathamby RMAF delivered a presentation entitled “Design and Production Approval and Previous Case Study,” outlining Malaysia’s regulatory framework, implementation practices, and lessons learned in technical airworthiness oversight.
The conference provided a platform for knowledge exchange, regulatory harmonisation, and professional engagement among participating countries, reaffirming the collective commitment to maintaining high standards of military aviation safety.
