PUTRAJAYA, 24 Apr 26 – The Directorate General of Technical Airworthiness (DGTA) had a courtesy visit with the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) as part of ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation between military and civil aviation authorities.

 

The DGTA delegation was led by Director General of DGTA, Brigadier General Samsuri bin Abu Bakar RMAF, accompanied by senior officials including Director of TAQR, Colonel Marzuki bin Ramli RMAF and Director of AAMR, Colonel Mohamad Azizi bin Abdul Aziz RMAF. The delegation was received by CAAM’s Senior Director of Airworthiness, Ir Collin Joshua Melling, representing the authority.

 

The engagement underscored the strong commitment of both organisations to foster closer collaboration and mutual understanding in the field of airworthiness. Discussions focused on key areas such as regulatory frameworks, safety oversight, technical standards, and the evolving challenges faced in today’s increasingly complex aviation environment.

 

DGTA emphasised the importance of continuous dialogue and knowledge sharing between civil and military aviation stakeholders to ensure the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.

 

This visit reflects DGTA’s commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships and contributing to a more integrated and resilient aviation ecosystem in Malaysia.
