"Every beginning must come to an end"

The date 9 May 2025 marked a significant milestone with the Handover of Duty Ceremony for the position of Director General between Brig Gen Ruszali bin Zakaria RMAF and Col Nik Ahmad Nazri bin Nik Yaacob RMAF. The ceremony was witnessed by the Deputy Chief of Air Force, Lt Gen Dato’ Sri Hj Muhamad Norazlan bin Aris RMAF, and held at Eagle Nest, Air Force Headquarters.

The signing and handover of the official Handover Notes symbolised the formal transfer of leadership between the outgoing and incoming Director General. On behalf of the top leadership and all personnel of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF), heartfelt appreciation and gratitude were extended to Brig Gen Ruszali bin Zakaria RMAF for his dedicated service, contributions, and exemplary leadership throughout his career.

Following the official ceremony at Eagle Nest, personnel of the Directorate General Technical Airworthiness (DGTA) organised a simple yet meaningful farewell event to honour the final day of service for Brig Gen Ruszali bin Zakaria RMAF, who was concluding his distinguished career in the Malaysian Armed Forces. The event, held at the DGTA premises, was attended by all DGTA personnel in a respectful and appreciative atmosphere.

As the highlight of the event, a 'Sent Off' ceremony was conducted where all DGTA members stood proudly and respectfully to escort the former Director General to the DGTA foyer — a final tribute to his valued contributions and respected leadership.
