Airworthiness Cooperation Meeting between Directorate General Technical Airworthiness (DGTA) and Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA), South Korea.
SUBANG, 18 December 2024 – DGTA hosted a delegation from the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA), South Korea, for an Airworthiness Cooperation Meeting, held at the DGTA Conference Room.
The meeting was attended by Colonel Nik Ahmad Nazri bin Nik Yaacob RMAF, Director of Aircraft & Aeronautical Engineering Regulatory (AAER), representing the Director General of DGTA; Colonel Ts. Md Hanafiah bin Yaacob RMAF, Director of Aircraft & Aeronautical Maintenance Regulatory (AAMR); Colonel Marzuki bin Ramli RMAF, Director of Training & Aviation Quality Regulatory (TAQR), as well as other DGTA officials. On the DAPA side, the delegation was led by Mr. Lee Suhyun, Mutual Recognition Manager, along with staff members Mr. Kim Mu-Geun, Mr. Park In Soo, and Mr. Jae Hyuk Shin.
The objective of the meeting was to establish airworthiness cooperation through mutual recognition between the two parties, covering aircraft certification processes, maintenance organisations, and training. Through this mutual recognition, airworthiness procedures between the involved parties can be harmonised, offering benefits to both countries, whether through the procurement of new assets or the implementation of maintenance and training.
The commitment shown by both DGTA and DAPA is expected to foster a close working relationship between the two countries in the field of airworthiness in the future.
