Visit by the Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA), Australia for the Bilateral Military Airworthiness Recognition (BMAR) Activity.

 

SUBANG, 25 February 2025 — The DGTA hosted a delegation from the Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA), Australia, from 25 February to 27 February 2025 in the DGTA Conference Room to carry out part of the Bilateral Military Airworthiness Recognition (BMAR) process.

 

The DASA delegation, led by Mr. Samuel Vincent Neilson and Flight Lieutenant Zhi Yu Kuang, was welcomed by the Director General of DGTA, Brigadier General Ruszali bin Zakaria RMAF, along with other DGTA officials.

 

This three-day visit is part of the BMAR process conducted by DASA with DGTA. During the visit, DASA received detailed briefings and had the opportunity to engage in face-to-face discussions regarding DGTA's management of technical airworthiness. Topics covered included the certification processes for organizations, aircraft certification, and personnel licensing. Through the BMAR activity, the management of technical airworthiness between the involved parties can be improved and aligned, providing benefits for both countries in the future, especially concerning joint training activities and aircraft operations involving both nations.

 

The commitment shown by both DGTA and DASA is seen as part of efforts to strengthen and deepen the longstanding cooperation between the two countries.
